English Muffin Bread
I can't stop making this bread... Or eating it :) I've added cinnamon and sugar in the past and loved it. This mornings toast is made with half wheat flour and I love it still! With a recipe this simple there is no need for anything but homemade in the house. K.

The babe calls this her "round hair." So simple, easy upkeep and loved by a toddler. I can't ask for more. K.

Tip Tuesday 01-08-2013
I bet we all have some kind of leftovers in our fridge or freezer that could easily be added to a creamed soup. Just toss in some veggies and call it a meal.
Homemade soups can be quite simple really.
Shop in your own fridge and pantry for broth, meat and vegetables. Potatoes and cheese can easily turn boring ground beef into one of my favorite cold weather meals.
This cheeseburger soup is simple and satisfying, even for those men who 'don't eat soups.' K.

Tip Tuesday 01-01-2013
My husband and I went on our first date 5 years ago, yesterday technically. :)
We ate at a restaurant that is now out of business and saw a movie that no one really watches anymore and only quotes sparingly. We, however, loved the food and thought the movie was great.
If you've been around since the beginning of Tip Tuesday, by now, you're wondering where the Tip is hidden...
Well here it is!
Actually it's right here >>> Go on a 'Staycation!'
By this point in the season, if you live in the Midwest, you're sick of the weather and all the fun holidays that make the weather bearable are over.
You can sit around for six weeks waiting to see if you're as lucky as Glenn Coco or you can find something to do that's a heck of a lot more fun.
Find something new to do in the town you live in, or the neighboring towns. Something that you have never done before, or a place you have never visited because "I'm from this town, why would I go there?"
It could be a museum or a concert or even a new pizza place.
It's doesn't have to be expensive, or take hours out of your schedule, it just has to happen. K.

Tip Tuesday Chirstmas 2012 Style
I know the best savings tip. Ever.
What is the best, most effective, super-duper, Christmas style, awesomest(Is that even a word? We don't care because we'll be saving so much money) money saving tip ever?
Stay home! And don't shop electronically while you're there!
Christmas has never been about money anyhow. Put away the credit cards, sit in the same room with someone and share about your lives. Watch Charlie Brown and It's a Wonderful Life while your husband does impressions of Jimmy Stewart just like the first Christmas you spent together. <3
This is the gift you'll actually remember next year and ask for again.
Merry Christmas. K.
